Thankful Thursday and TBT

Every time I start to write these I think quietly to myself that there is so much to be thankful for in every day that it doesn't seem fair to only share a couple. But my point for Thankful Thursday is to step back and just revel in this amazing world we live in and the things that make me happy at this point in time. I am thankful for so much but here is just a few. :)

I love life...and no shoes! haha

 

1. Michael/Partner: he has a reserved this spot on my thankful list because of how happy he makes my heart. The relationship and friendship that we have is so full of love and laughter that i feel way too lucky that this is real life. There are times when he reminds me so much of my dad and I'm so thankful for that too because I miss that crazy man.

2. A fresh start in 2013: 2012 was an amazing year for us but I always find myself striving to be a better version of me. There are things I hope to work on throughout the year so I can be the best wife, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend to the people I love most.

3. Flood insurance = worked out: this is huge you guys. Michael and I bought our house in June and this still wasn't settled. Until today. The company wouldn't insure us because of missing paperwork and as new homeowners with a mortgage, the mortgage company doesn't look too fondly on that. They wanted to charge us $1800 a year when our flood should be $500 a year. After lots of hard work from our insurance company (bless their hearts) we got the call today that we are back to $500. Whoop whoop. This has been a stress for us so HUGE deal.

4. My job- I went up to my classroom today and had an email from a parent. I won't go into specifics but it make my heart so happy and reminded me of the reason I teach. If those 22 little friends in my class are happy and learning, then life is good.

5. Pictures: As I was looking back through all of mine and Michael's pictures (ridiculous amounts y'all), I just was reminded how much of a blessing cameras and pictures are. Whoever invented cameras...GENIUS! Seriously. I had forgotten about some of the things we did, but thankfull I'm a tad obsessive with my camera and we have pictures of pretty much everything. I will go on record saying Best Invention EVER.... who agreees?

A look back at Michael and I from being babies (OK... college students) to married. What a flipping amazing journey. Ps- yes I did have braces in college. Dumb TMJ and jaw surgery(whole different post) I got them off right before graduation from college. Ridiculous I know!!!
