I don't care who you are... Looking back on all of the fun we had as wee little ones will put a smile on your face. So you are in luck. We're taking a walk down memory lane and I'm taking y'all back. Put your bell bottom jeans with patches on, grab your favorite flower vest, and strap on those jelly shoes... oh and press play below...
Velcro Rollerblades
Before Rollerblades got "big" you stepped onto your wheels and were on your way.
Real safe mom and dad...
Fashion plates
I always thought I made up the best outfit for these ladies...looking back...I'm not so sure
Pretty Pretty Princess
Which barbie themed slumber party was this game NOT played at? Am I right?
Lisa frank binders
We all had to have them...although my mom was too cheap and so the only LFrank I had was those tiny notebooks or a pencil set I had to share with my sister...how rude (name that show).
Jelly Shoes
Where do I even begin with these ridiculous things. I HAD to have them so mom went out and got them for Dee and I to share....the next day they went out of style.

One word: scrunchies.
Girls these days wear flowers on their head while we sported the awesome, durable SCRUNCHY!!!
Fruit Stripe and Ouch gum
The only acceptable bubble gum for dad to bring out of the gas station or that you HAD to have in line at the grocery store..sorry about those tantrums mom. A girls got to have her fruity tattoos and edible band aids to carry around..DUH.
Your phone was clear and had a cord
I mean who didn't already get excited by a ringing phone..now added flashing lights and your heart just about jumped outta your chest. Why can't they make cell phones like this...

Passport diary
I could never really figure this thing out but you bet your butt I carried it around like it was the most secretive thing I ever owned.

Tamagotchi
There is nothing scarier than 3+ piles of poop sitting next to your beloved pet when you woke up in the morning to go to school. It was complete devastation when mine died...until dad "magically" fixed it so I could start over. Lesson learned: There is a reset button. I wonder if these are still sold...

Daria
Daria was my mom's worst nightmare. She would do anything she could to keep me from watching it, but I always found a way. Looking back I realize what that show was all about..

Tape Recorded Love Song Mix Tapes
Don't pretend like you didn't hold your walkman up to your huge stereo to record your favorite songs and make that hot 5th grader a "love song mix"....or was that just me
Teen Beat and BOP
If you weren't subscribed or didn't buy Teen Beat and BOP magazines then you weren't really living. We all love a little JTT, the kid who played Casper the ghost, or some bleach headed NSYNC boys am I right?.

YES to it ALL!! :) Love me some 90s. Would love to have a tamagachi again haha.
OMG!!!!! This is hilarious!!!!! I had alllllll of the above! Jelly shoes, a drawer full of nothing but scrunchies, Fashion plates galore, those skates got me through many a early days at the roller rink, Im pretty sure I had 3 tamagotchies, JTT, Andrew K., and Lenoardo were PLASTERED to every wall in my room, and my mom tried to prevent me from watching Daria too... but when you have a TV in your own room and have the quick change button at your finger tip you learn how to make it look like you are just flipping channels lol! Ohh and I made my guy {a close family friend} babysitter play pretty pretty princess with me all the time! He was a good sport about it!
Oh my goodness I had forgotten about so much of this stuff!!! I LOVED those fashion plates, and I definitely had that phone too!! It might be bad to admit to it, but I still have some scrunchies... clearly I'm awesome haha.
Ahhhh so many good memories!! I use to sleep in my jelly shoes I loved them so much. And I had a password diary that you recorded the password with your voice and I remember being SO mad when my brother was able to imitate my voice and get into it!
OMG I remember that song thanks for posting it and I totally agree when did our parents think it was safe to those strap on roller blades on our feet?!!!!!!!
Truth be told I'm still a sucker for Lisa Frank!!!!!
Love them all! But i adored my fashion plates best toy ever! I wore Jelly shoes all through middle school ohhh the blisters but beauty is pain right?!?!
Seriously I think I owned every single thing you just named! I miss Ouch gum and jelly shoes more than anything! You should link this post up with us tomorrow for our Throwback Thursday link up! It's PERFECT!!
OMG with the exception on the phone (cause I couldn't have one in my room) & watching Daria I had everything on here! I just saw there is a giga pet/Tamagotchi app, i haven't looked into it but I may need too. My fashion plates were my moms, talk about old school & I had clear jellys, those things turned gray in a hot min.
Brings back so many memories!!! haha :) great post! :)
I love all of this!!! Still play pretty pretty princess with my little cousins today- bust that thing out!!
Also- passport diary, I agree! Loved it, didn't understand it.
Passport Diary! I still have mine at my parent's house. I never could remember the darn password.
This is hilarious! I had all of these things minus the clear phone! I had totally forgotten about the Tamagotchi!
I had and loved EVERY SINGLE ONE of these things! And anyone who didn't grow up in the 90s was seriously missing out on the best decade of all time to be a kid. We had the best shoes, best toys, best TV shows, and best games! Love you! Thanks for taking me back to my childhood today and making me all sappy-nostalgic :)
Oh my goodness! Where do I begin? This made me laugh so hard! :D Those Velcro skates were so fun growing up and it's funny because I was wondering where all the Lisa Frank swag went? I loved it all!
Omg! I LOVE all of this! Talk about a trip down memory lane! I remember owning several of these things, and I am currently wishing to go back to those sweet days. We have the BEST toys/stuff growing up in the 90's hands down!
LOL!! Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I totally ROCKED the jelly shoes. I had so many of them. Also, I carried around the passport diary, too, like I was the coolest kid ever - and secretly I had no idea how to use it, either. haha Lisa Frank was THE.COOLEST - I remember asking for Lisa Frank stuff for my birthday a few times....and scrunchies were a HUGE part of my wardrobe.
Oh and....Full House...totally! haha
This just made my whole life. The day I lost my Tamagotchi at summer camp still holds true to be one of the worst of my life. I made my mom bring me to the lost and found station a few times looking for it.
YES!!!
I loved my velcro skates, until the day I left them by the stairs and my dad tripped on them. Pretty sure he took a hammer to them...oops.
Haha YES!!
I had all of this, well except Pretty Pretty Princes, which was of course devastating. I had too many brothers who liked to choke on things. That was my Mom's excuse anyway :) Haha. I loved my Velcro skates! This brought back memories. What a fun post! I'm still laughing lol
I love everything you just posted! We would have been best friends, for sure! I wore those skates pretty much everywhere...even on carpet! I was completely obsessed with fashion plates and Bop & Teen Beat and still have all my old mix taps (classics). I hated my Tamagotchi though...it woke me up in the middle of the night and that was the end of it! :)
Jill
Classy with a Kick
Oh my, I remember those things. I wanted a clear phone so bad!
OMG I remember all of those. I loved loved the secret diary! I remember I begged my mom for one! LOL. I think I had like 2 tomagachi's since I wanted different animals/baby. I liked Daria but I had to watch it when mom was not home... she didn't really approve. One of the books I read was "TEen BEat" Everyone loved JTT!!!!
This post is so exciting!! I had every thing on this list. I had forgotten about the pretty princess game. I finally lost the game but you better bet I held on to the jewelry included.

Oh my goodness! Yes yes yes to everything on here! Gracious, why does it seem that long ago?
Soo funny! I literally had all of those things! This post was a blast from the past and I loved it!
this totally made me smile! and I heard Michelle saying "how rude!" love it!! (:
Haha...you have to admit we had some amazing trends! Let's bring them all back! I thought I was so cool walking around with my walkman and reading Bop magazine. Haha.
this is soooo funny to read today because as we were going out to recess one of my firsties asked me what I used to play with when I was her age haha! ahh - the good ole days, if only she knew!
p.s. I love that you picked a Teen Beat with JTT on the cover. swoon.
OMG I love this! although I wasn't allowed to read teen beat (much to racy for my mom im sure) but I can completely relate to this. especially the jellies that I couldn't live without it! & full house <3

So many memories in this post!
I hated how the flavor of the Fruit Stripe gum was only intense for about ten seconds.
I am currently watching all of the "Daria" episodes for the first time (we didn't always have cable TV when I was younger). It's a great show.
Scrunchies, mix-tapes, daria, and teen beat oh my! I am pretty sure (who am I kidding, I know) I had Devon Sawa and JTT from Teen Beat plasterd on my walls. And I distinctly remember getting mad at my mom for not driving home fast enough because I wanted to get The Vervepipe on a Mix Tape. From the radio. Oh man, the memories!
I remember most of these things! Fun to take a trip down memory lane!
